Exposing Stolen Valor: Angie Wong and Butch Conz Accused of Misrepresenting Veterans for America First

Angie Wong, a Republican Committeewoman for Miami District 17, and Butch Conz of North Carolina are under fire for impersonating the leadership of Veterans for America First (VFAF.US), a nationally recognized organization led by decorated military veterans. Their actions have sparked outrage within the veteran community as they falsely claim affiliation with VFAF while spreading misinformation and issuing unauthorized endorsements.

Deception and Misrepresentation

Wong and Conz have no legitimate ties to VFAF or military service yet continue to pose as representatives of the national organization and its state chapters in Georgia and North Carolina. They have also created a cloned website to further their false claims, misleading the public and undermining the integrity of VFAF.

A petition to remove Angie Wong from her position has been launched: Sign the Petition Here.

False Endorsements and Misleading Campaigns

During her GOP campaign, Wong falsely labeled herself as the “President of Georgia Veterans for America First,” a title that has since been removed from her social media. However, she continues to use the organization’s name to promote unauthorized endorsements, including one for Reagan Box, a grassroots candidate who cut ties with Wong and Conz after uncovering their lack of legitimacy.

Wong and Conz also issued an unauthorized endorsement for former New Jersey State Senator Ed Durr’s potential gubernatorial campaign in 2026. Durr, who previously endorsed Wong, is now facing ethical questions about his financial relationship with her, casting doubt on his judgment in accepting support from an unverified organization.

Pattern of Questionable Behavior

Neither Wong nor Conz has served in the military, yet they persist in claiming to represent VFAF, an act of Stolen Valor that disrespects the service and sacrifice of real veterans. They have used social media to attack former VFAF members, spread defamatory claims, and troll the organization’s leadership.

  • Angie Wong: Wong’s history includes accusations of financial misconduct, evidence tampering, and frivolous lawsuits. Public records reveal allegations from her own family about financial misappropriation.
  • Butch Conz: Conz has a documented history of felony arrests, including possession of firearms as a convicted felon (source).

Fraudulent Contracts and Financial Mismanagement

An audio recording reveals Wong as the author of a controversial contract with the New Federal State of China (NFSC), which she used to divert funds for personal media appearances. Despite her attempts to shift blame onto former VFAF leaders, evidence exonerates them, highlighting her role in the financial improprieties.

Impact on Veterans and the Community

Wong and Conz’s actions are harmful to the veteran community, eroding trust and tarnishing the reputation of a legitimate organization dedicated to supporting America’s veterans. Their misinformation campaigns and false endorsements jeopardize the integrity of grassroots movements and the broader veteran advocacy network.

Call for Accountability

It is imperative to address the misrepresentation by Angie Wong and Butch Conz. Veterans for America First is urging the public to reject their false claims and unauthorized endorsements. By holding them accountable, we can protect the honor of the veteran community and ensure the continued credibility of VFAF’s mission.
