Continuing its commitment to direct community service, Veterans for America First (VFAF) organized a holiday blood drive led by Devonta Sullivan, the National Ambassador of its Georgia-based Vet Force team. The event was held in partnership with the Red Cross at Park Avenue Baptist Church, drawing a significant number of donors.
“This initiative shows what real leadership looks like,” stated Kartik Bhatt, Deputy Political Director for the VFAF Georgia Chapter. “Devonta’s service-oriented approach brings out the best in the community.”
With trauma cases, surgeries, and chronic illnesses driving blood demand, these local drives help maintain a national supply that saves thousands of lives each day. The Red Cross notes that 29,000 units of red blood cells are needed daily in the U.S., making every donation count.
