He served five years in the Marine Corps, including a combat deployment to Afghanistan. He continues to serve today as a Marine Corps Reserve Major. Aaron understands sacrifice and leadership because he has lived it. He is also a dedicated husband, a father of four, and an active member of his church. Aaron is no stranger to legal and policy battles. After graduating from Texas A&M and earning his law degree from the University of Texas, he clerked for Texas Supreme Court Justice Jimmy Blacklock and practiced law in Houston. As Deputy Attorney General for Legal Strategy under Ken Paxton, Aaron led the legal resistance against Joe Biden’s federal overreach, helping sue the administration forty-six times.
He later served as Chief of Staff to Senator Ted Cruz, where he led efforts to secure the border, protect children online, and expand opportunities for working families. After President Trump’s 2024 reelection, Aaron was appointed to lead the Department of Justice’s Office of Legal Policy under Attorney General Pam Bondi.
